I’m doing “recipe Thursday” on Wednesday this week cause I’m all messed up on my days.  And it’s someone’s birthday tomorrow.  Really, who wants to talk about recipes when there’s a birthday to celebrate? 🙂 Ok, so my friend gave me this recipe years and years ago and I’ve made it so much you’d think everyone would be sick to death of it.  But they gobble it up every time.  It’s so easy it almost makes me cry in happiness on those hard-to-get-to-dinner-early days.  And it looks and tastes kind of fancy and is easy for a crowd too. This is all you need:

Well, ok, and you need the pork too… I usually get those long packages of tenderloin at Costco, but any pork will do.  Dump:

1/2 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon of minced garlic

in a Ziploc with the pork.  Now, I have only had a 1/4 c. of one or the other of these in the past and it still works…the key is just to do equal parts of those.

And let’s just go ahead and pretend meat looks more appealing when it’s raw… Marinate that pork for a couple hours or for as much time as you have on hand.  It’s great if you can let that marinade seep in for a while, but I’ve marinated for as little as 1/2 hour and still had it turn out tasty as can be. Grill for approx. 8-10 minutes on each side.  Remove from heat and cut in diagonal slices (helps it keep tender). Serve with whatever great sides you choose.
